Commissioned for upcoming young cellist, Sonya Moomaw, the Fantasia is paired, by Sonya and her accompanist, Ariadne Antipa, with music by Schubert, Chopin, and Ginastera. Earlier this year, Sonya, at age 13, performed the third movement of Hadyn’s C Major Cello Concerto as soloist with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, among several other important milestones.
